Sue Cook (affectionately called Sooz by close friends and family) founded SoozEvents in 2009 after leaving a successful career in sales and marketing to focus on her passion for event planning and her desire to open her own business and follow through on her degree in Business/Entrepreneurship from USC. She took classes in project management, floral design and earned her Certification in Meeting and Event Planning from Cal State Long Beach to round out her business background. Sue gained practical experience in the event industry as Project Manager for celebrity event producer - The Party Goddess! and as Event Producer for Los Angeles Party Designs, an award-winning event design company, where she was the lead event producer for the 2010 IFC Critics Awards and the IFC Spirit Awards.
