ABOUT

James “Jimmy” Merchant is a versatile saxophonist who can perform on the alto, tenor, bari, and soprano saxophones. He performs with his group, Jimmy Merchant & Friends.

In July of 2010, Jimmy formed his first band, Cymbals & Swing, which released a CD titled “It’s Only the Beginning” in November 2010. While leading Cymbals and Swing, Jimmy had many opportunities to perform at prestigious functions, including fundraisers for US Congressmen Jon Runyan and the late John Adler.

At such a young age, Jimmy has had many opportunities to perform around the world. Some of the countries he has performed in are India, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, France, Austria, and Aruba.
