For thousands of years humans have been in the sun and even worshiped the sun. Most all living things on this earth need sunshine to grow and live - including humans. Many people say they absolutely feel better when they tan. There are so many health benefits of sun tanning (inside or outside) that I will be tanning forever! ( of course moderately - like anything, don't over do it ) human skin makes Vitamin D from sun exposure in such high amounts that it's impossible to get that much Vitamin d from food. Taking vitamin d supplements does not have the same effect on our health as the sun. There are several books dedicated to all the benefits of sun tanning for healthy Vitamin D levels. Low Vitamin d is killing more people than ever because we have been mislead to stay out of the sun.
